In this session, attendees will gain an insightful overview of how diversity has become a critical workplace component that must be a part of any organizational strategy discussion.  Diversity has many dimensions, including race, gender, culture, generational differences, sexual orientation and even diversity of thought.  Hot-button issues abound, and opportunities for communication missteps and sensitivity mishaps are nearly limitless.  As a result, the tools shared in this workshop will prove essential for Human Resource professionals who oversee employee relations and implement company directives such as policy design and creation of educational programming for managers and supervisors.  Listen and learn about:

  1. Development of strategies for diversity management that can create a culture of appreciation.
  2. Implementation of training programs for managers and supervisors that can decrease the likelihood of legal claims.
  3. Increasing awareness and understanding of the impact of poor employee relations decisions.
  4. Recognizing the importance of appropriate interaction with people of all backgrounds and perspectives.
