December Monthly Meeting - Harness the Power of Stress

In a crazy busy world, it’s easy to get caught up in the idea that stress belongs here, no matter the impact it weighs on our body and mind, and to what we bring to this life. We become multitasking beasts who are easily irritated and feel the weight of stress pressing down us. But it doesn’t have to be this way.


Upgrade your thinking about the impact stress plays in your life.


It’s time for a change of perspective. How you think about stress has a profound impact on your life. The secret is not to avoid all stress (as if you could) because certain types can motivate you and be beneficial to your performance. 


Learn to transform old views of stress as doom and gloom and see how the protective effects of good stress helps you meet the challenges you face. Allowing you to be positively affected everything from your physical health to the hope you have for the future. You’ll feel more empowered in face of challenges and less ‘stressed’.



At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

-Identify the components of stress and the body’s fight or flight response

- Discover why stress can be a positive in life


         -Develop three techniques to boost energy and deepen resilience



Amanda Chay is the founder of Wonderment. Her passion is to teach others how to infuse the workforce with wellness while finding ways for businesses to be happily productive. Amanda knows the entrepreneurial and corporate world from the inside. She has over 10 years of experience running national sales teams and leading sales and marketing campaigns in the healthcare industry. In the wellness arena, she’s taught group fitness and yoga professionally for 20 years. Amanda holds a Master’s of Art in Counseling from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelors of Art from the University of Indianapolis
