Cracking the Code: Business Continuity Planning, Exercising and Response

Working with leaders, managers and staff to create resilient solutions

This event will be held at the PNC Arena in the Varsity Conference Room.

This program will teach you the terminology, principles, approach, and value proposition of business continuity planning. Upon completion, attendees will possess a better understanding of threat assessments, business continuity planning and readiness, process for completing a business continuity plan, and the motivation to complete a plan and exercise it for a department or organization.

Is your business ready for the next cyberattack, natural disaster, public health crisis, or utility disruption? A survey of 568 organizations in 74 countries identified the top 10 perceived threats to organizations worldwide.

1.    Cyberattack
2.    Data breach
3.    Unplanned IT and telecom outages
4.    Act of terrorism
5.    Security incident
6.    Utility interruption
7.    Supply chain interruption
8.    Inclement weather
9.    Availability of talent/key skills
10.   Health and safety

The impact from such events on businesses can be severe. If a department or organization has to close or its employees are unable to work, it could mean significant financial loss, or negatively affect brand and reputation. The Business Continuity Management process is critical to reducing risk and minimizing costs associated with adverse events, while additionally building and improving organizational resilience. Your ability to be prepared, to respond quickly, and to protect what matters when managing a crisis is key to business survival and growth.
