Master Series: Leading High Performance Teams in Business

Join us for our first Master Series session of 2018 as we delve into:

  • The High Performance Manager;
  • Strengths Coaching (the history of Strengths-based development, discovering your own Strengths, and how to incorporate Strengths into your role as coach);
  • Engagement (the definition of engagement, what it means to be engagement-focused, and how to create a culture of engagement in your own team); and
  • Performance Orientation (the state of performance-based management based on SOAW and SOGW, how to merge Strengths and engagement for your teams, and pulling it all together).

Patrick Mieirtz is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and leader of the Gallup Organization’s learning and development practice in North Carolina. As an organization, Gallup is the world’s leading research firm on the subject of re-framing human capital strategy into a business growth strategy.

In his role, Patrick teaches leaders how to use Gallup’s research to:

  • select world class talent;
  • implement Strengths based approaches to performance management; and
  • transform HR from an operations department into a profit center.

Gallup’s best-selling books on the subject of performance management include the NY Times Best Seller First, Break All the Rules, 12: the Elements of Great Managing, and the #1 best selling book on Amazon of all time, StrengthsFinder 2.0. Some of Gallup’s more well-known clients include 5/10 largest banks in the US, Ann Taylor, Ritz-Carlton, Accenture and the United States Department of Defense.

Patrick personally is passionate about helping front-line managers transition into performance coaches and when he is not reading, writing or teaching, he’s working on a podcast about the past, present and future of performance management to be released in 2018 or planning a trip with his beautiful wife, Lindsey.

3 hours of business credit are available from SHRM and HRCI for this session.
