The Case for a Formal Eldercare HR Program for Employees

Not surprisingly the cost of employees taking care of their elderly parents exceeds that of those missing work to care for their young children. While sick children get better, elderly parents tend to get frailer, sicker or more memory-challenged. There is no quick fix, and the very real costs  - over $ 8.7 billion/year - associated with your employee's caregiving demands are growing.

This program presents the case for employers to initiate an Eldercare HR program. Learn how you can provide support and resources to employee's struggling with managing care for a loved one.

Program presenters include Tim Murray, Aware Senior Care; Lisa Ogburn, AgingAdvisorsNC; and Lisa Levine, Dementia Alliance of North Carolina.

To prepare for the program, please take a minute to complete the survey here.

This meeting qualifies for one hour of general credit with both SHRM and HRCI.
