The mentor program pairs professionals with NCSU, Meredith College and Peace College student chapter members who have an interest in the Human Resources field. The pairing is based on information provided by the professional and student on the profile form. The amount of time devoted to the program depends on the professional's schedule and the student's needs.

 

The program could involve shadowing, career counseling, hosting the student at a RWHRMA chapter meeting, or some other activity that the professional and student mutually agree upon. Raleigh-Wake hopes to have a mentor for each student signed up for the program. If you have been looking for a way to get involved with our Chapter but have limited time available, this program will fit in easily with your schedule.

 

Traditionally, the program begins with a social.  Paired mentors and students will be introduced at this event and can discuss their expectations for what they would like get out of the program. We will provide a list of potential activities that you and your mentee can do to get conversation rolling. It is recommended that the professional host the student at the next RWHRMA meeting as part of the introduction to the program.
