Community Services Application Process

RWHRMA is committed to supporting community organizations as a means to give back to the local communities. Support may be in the form of volunteerism, in-kind contributions, or limited financial sponsorships. Community outreach is important to RWHRMA; however, it is impossible to support every request.

Guidelines and processes have been generated to manage requests and allocate available resources.

In order to be considered, the agency/organization must complete an application and must meet the following criteria:

  • Nonprofit tax exemption status from the IRS 501(c)(3).
  • Use donation to benefit the people in the community and not the agency.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior in all aspects of the organization, including the promotion and solicitation of funds.
  • Have a community focus that fosters economic self-sufficiency for program participants through building relative skills, furthering education and enhancing independence. Can focus on youth, economically disadvantaged, disabilities or any group with barriers to employment.

Applications will be accepted annually and should be submitted via the website.  For 2010 calendar year, applications must be submitted by March 31st; however, the committee may accept non-financial reuqests during the year with first priority going to those applications subbmitted by March 31st.

The Community Service Committee and the RWHRMA Board of Directors will determine which initiatives, programs or organizations will be supported for the calendar year. The review committee will organize and prioritize the requests and present their recommendation to the board for consideration.

Applications not selected will be notified.

Successful applications will be processed and efforts coordinated through RWHRMA Community Services Committee.
