President
The President leads RWHRMA in supporting the chapter's mission. The President shall uphold the bylaws of the chapter and manage the organization in the best interest of the membership. In fulfilling these duties, the President presides over all meetings and the activities of all officers, directors, and committees to ensure the accomplishment of chapter goals, objectives, and strategies. The President also serves as a voting member of the NC SHRM State Council.

President-Elect
The President-Elect assists the President in overseeing all chapter activities, and in his/her absence, will perform the duties of the President. The President-Elect also serves as student chapter liaison, volunteer program coordinator, and is responsible for the administration of the Robert F. McLain award. He/she will assume the office of President immediately following the term as President-Elect.

Past President
The Past President serves as an advisor to the President and other officers and board members. He/she also is responsible for the administration of RWHRMA’s student and professional scholarship programs.

Aaron Martin
Treasurer
The Treasurer serves as financial advisor to the chapter. He/she is responsible for managing all financial transactions of the organization, including expense and income budgeting, auditing, preparation of monthly reports, and the day-to-day maintenance of the chapter’s checking/savings accounts and investments. He/she provides timely monthly reports on the financial status of the organization and is responsible for scheduling an independent audit of chapter financial records every 2-3 years

Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for completing, distributing, and maintaining organization records, including the minutes of all Board meetings.

Christine Gevertz, PHR
VP, Membership
This director manages the membership function of the chapter and develops strategies to recruit new members. He/she receives and reviews membership applications and presents them to the Board of Directors at each month’s meeting, plans prospective member events, and maintains the membership roster.

VP, Programs
The VP, Programs proactively manages the development of the monthly chapter meetings/programs. He/she directs and supports the activities of the programs committee and is responsible for ensuring that monthly meetings run smoothly. The VP, Programs also prepares the monthly programs newsletter to be posted on the website.

Certification Director
This director plans and implements the chapter's certification study groups. He/she is also responsible for educating members regarding HRCI certification, promoting certification/recertification, and recognizing newly certified members. He/she also administers the two certification scholarships for members.

College Relations Director
This director is responsible for ensuring implementation and development of the PACT program. He/she fosters communication with local student chapters and serves as the primary contact for student chapter leaders for the coordination of activities that address activities required for SHRM Student Merit Awards. The Director is responsible for developing RWHRMA initiatives in collaboration with chapter advisors that promote the goals and objectives of local chapters and provide opportunities to develop leadership skills, promote career development, and expand upon the foundation of HR knowledge taught in the classroom.

SHRM Foundation Director
This director promotes the SHRM Foundation and its activities to chapter members and educates them regarding the Foundation’s existence and purpose. He/she also plans and implements at least one fundraising event for the Foundation per year and recommends an annual contribution to the Foundation.

Governmental Affairs Director
This director serves as legislative advocate for the chapter. He/she communicates legislative action information to membership, initiates action in response to legislative alerts, and coordinates chapter legislative activities such as lobbying and letter-writing to elected officials. He/she will work closely with the SHRM government Affairs department and State Council Legislative Director to educate and advocate legislative issues in our state as well as nationally.

Diversity Director
This director promotes diversity in the organization by developing chapter diversity initiatives, planning diversity programs, and spearheading the effort to increase diversity among RWHRMA’s membership and leadership. He/she will work with the VP, Programs to ensure that at least on monthly program focuses on this core area.

This Director actively seeks potential sponsors to raise funds to support the chapter’s operations. He/She builds relationships with the sponsors to identify effective opportunities for marketing their services. This director manages the RWHRMA web site to include day to day maintenance and updates as well as upgrades and improvement projects.
