2016 NCSHRM Day in the District

Stay tuned for details for 2016.

On Thursday, May 14, 2015 approximately 30 HR professionals attended the NCSHRM Day in the District. Participants met in the 1200 Quad of the General Assembly at 10:30 a.m. and delivered boxed lunches to the majority of our elected officials; several were picked up by House and Senate members and their staff members who passed by the tables. Talking points for the event were:
(1) We support efforts for North Carolina to have the best teachers and principals in the nation. This includes policies to recruit, develop, support and compensate teachers and principals through H661, H662, H902 and S121 (pending bills supporting various educational initiatives).
(2) Support NC Works and its Veteran Programs.
(3) Seek out Human Resources/NCSHRM input on pending legislation. NCSHRM members sit between senior executives and the workforce, a key voice on many issues.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event successful for 2015!
